    I asked a meteorologist about this and he said that certain plants/trees release a pheromone when it is about to rain. That’s what you’re smelling.

    It’s because it doesn’t happen much. Texas is basically always in a drought, even when it floods we still don’t accumulate enough water to be out of droughts so when ever it rains it’s like a collective spider sense

    Julene Young When I was younger, around 8-10, I remember telling the cousins that I could smell the rain coming. They looked at me like this.

    I’m from the midwest and I can smell the rain coming. I now live in the desert, and can still smell the rain coming lol the only place I couldn’t was in Hawaii because it was so humid and rained every damn day anyway
