Seriously, what do cats have against Christmas? The world has no shortage of cats crashing nativity scenes.

  1. They’ve got nothing against Christmas. They are actually correcting the omission of cats in the stable scenes. How can you have a stable with out a cat or two or more? You got hay and grain, you got mice, you got cats.

Jasper the cat knocked over a wiseman. My 5 year old told him that Jesus did not like that and that Santa would not bring him anything.

Folklore has it Mary touched a cat as she gave birth and that’s why cats have the letter M on their foreheads. M is for Mary. Go on….look at a tabby cat….it has an M

Growing up, our life was an endless string of cats performing some sort of sacrilege or another.
I miss each and every one of them.

  5. There is a story that is not true, but still fun, that tabbies were at the Nativity so the virgin Mary honored them with an M on their foreheads. I should have read further, as the story was already mentioned.

  6. I would say in a practical sense the outside ones want a warmer place to sleep since the hay is drier and warmer then sleeping on the ground they would rather sleep there.

  7. Margaret- Simba broke the “Angel of Light”. He also tried to take JC and the boys out. I learned though- hay is for cats not Jesus.
