I asked a meteorologist about this and he said that certain plants/trees release a pheromone when it is about to rain. That’s what you’re smelling.

  2. I thought everyone could smell when it was getting ready to rain or snow. Heck I can even smell fog. They are all different

This is dumb! i could understand if they said the other person was from out west or central cause they dont see muxh snow but from Ohio where we get all 4 seasons in a week so u smell everything lol

  4. fucking a right Jon…sense would be a better word. or feel. i feel it in my nose…..there is no samael to humidity

  5. It’s because it doesn’t happen much. Texas is basically always in a drought, even when it floods we still don’t accumulate enough water to be out of droughts so when ever it rains it’s like a collective spider sense

  6. Julene Young When I was younger, around 8-10, I remember telling the cousins that I could smell the rain coming. They looked at me like this.

I’m from the midwest and I can smell the rain coming. I now live in the desert, and can still smell the rain coming lol the only place I couldn’t was in Hawaii because it was so humid and rained every damn day anyway
