If cats could submit formal requests, many owners would probably find a stack of demands waiting for them every morning. Until that day arrives, felines have learned to rely on a combination of stares, meows, and strategic positioning to get their message across. In fact, Mr. Milo’s owner says her cat has developed a very specific way of asking for a heated blanket. As such, a video shared by @mr.milothechonk provides plenty of evidence to support that claim.

Cat communicates with owner effectively to have his blanket heated

The video begins with Milo the cat sitting near a window while his blanket rests nearby. According to his owner, the blanket had recently been washed, which meant it was no longer warm and ready for use. So, Milo appeared determined to get his preferred setup back.

As he sat staring at his owner, she explained that the look was his way of “signaling” that he wanted the blanket heated. When that message seemingly failed to produce an immediate response, Milo took things a step further. A later scene shows him moving closer to his owner, appearing to emphasize his request.

The cat’s intentions became even clearer when his owner discovered him sitting on top of the dryer in the laundry room. By that point, there was little doubt about what he wanted. The dryer, after all, was the source of the warmth he seemed to be seeking.

Milo then appeared to guide his owner through the rest of the process. As she picked up the blanket and headed toward the laundry room, the cat followed closely behind. His owner jokingly portrayed him as a supervisor, monitoring each step to make sure the task was completed correctly.

The moment the dryer finished its cycle, Milo began meowing. It sounded as though he was reminding her that the blanket was ready and should be removed immediately. Once it was warmed, he headed straight back to his favorite chair and waited patiently for the blanket to be placed over it.

Only after everything was arranged to his satisfaction did Milo finally settle down. The video ends with the contented cat relaxing on the chair with his favorite blanket and giving his owner a series of slow blinks. In the caption, Milo’s owner jokingly admitted that she had “created the cutest monster.”
