The funny Instagram video comes from @meeloandmiso, the account for two New York boys, Meelo and Miso. Their mom, Emilie, appears to have discovered why one brother looks chunkier than the other. As both eat from an automatic feeder, Miso quietly reaches across and steals from Meelo’s bowl. Meelo appears to be a black domestic shorthair, while Miso looks like a brown tabby domestic shorthair, describing their coat patterns rather than a specific breed.

Cat expertly steals food from sibling’s bowl as they both eat

The video was shared by @meeloandmiso one day ago with the caption, “You can’t make this up.” The account bio says Meelo and Miso are two boys in New York, with Emilie listed as their mom. A separate post also introduced the official page for the brothers.

The clip starts with both cats wearing colorful bandanas as they stand at a white automatic feeder. On-screen text says, “I found out why one is chunkier than the other.” Miso, wearing the green bandana, stays close beside Meelo, who wears the pink bandana and eats from the left bowl. Then the theft begins. Miso stretches one paw over the divider and pulls food from Meelo’s side. He does it while continuing to eat from his own bowl, which makes the moment even funnier. Meelo keeps his face down, barely reacting as his brother works both servings.

The camera stays close enough to show the tiny paw move again and again. Miso looks focused, calm, and completely shameless. The simple setup turns the video into a perfect sibling investigation, with Emilie finally catching the dinner crime in progress. The joke became even bigger because viewers understood the weight mystery at once. Miso was not just eating his meal. He was quietly collecting extra bites from Meelo’s bowl, too.

Fans could not stop laughing in the comments. One wrote, “the greed they talk about in the bible.” Another added, “I would lessen the chunky ones and increase the skinny ones to balance the “theft”.” A third joked, “Calories borrowed from another bowl don’t get added to your total. It’s science.” Another said, “???????the way the cat using the paws. ????????.”
