Does anyone else’s cat do this as well? Jasper was doing this to a fly that had accidentally gotten into the foster room yesterday. What Jasper is doing is called chattering. Cats often chatter at birds or squirrels they see outside the window. Cats chatter when they are excited and it’s a part of their predatory instinct. 🪶 This is the first time I’ve ever actually seen a cat chatter in-person. I’ve only ever seen videos of other cats chattering. It was pretty cool!
