It is part of the charm of living with an animal that clearly has their own agenda. Milo recently gave his owner a particularly funny reminder of that when a request for his paw was met with a quiet but unmistakable rejection.

A video shared by @milo_tabbyfatty shows Milo having a hilarious exchange with his owner after being asked for a paw. The tabby is sitting calmly as his owner reaches a hand toward him, seemingly waiting for Milo to place his paw in it.
For a moment, it looks like the cat might actually play along. Milo appears to put his paw forward, but instead of leaving it in his owner’s hand, he uses it to lower the hand back down. The unexpected move makes it look as though Milo has considered the request and decided to “politely reject” it.
The interaction is made even funnier by the text written across the video. “You’ve never felt true rejection until you own a cat,” it reads, turning Milo’s brief gesture into a relatable joke for anyone familiar with a cat’s independent nature.
The caption was just as fitting. “At least, he rejects politely,” the post said. Fair enough, Milo deserves some credit for delivering his answer without making too much of a fuss.
