His personality seemingly didn’t sit well with the family that adopted him a while ago. So, they sent him back to the shelter, where the fur baby waits for someone to bring him to his forever home. “This shy sweetheart deserves to be loved exactly as he is,” the caption reads.

In a heartbreaking cat video, the story follows Pez, a three-year-old domestic shorthair shelter cat. Through on-screen text, the uploader says, “Everyone tell Pez that he is brave. He was returned to the shelter for being too shy.” In the clip, the feline is sleeping in the corner of his kennel. Although it has a lot of space to move around, the cat chooses a far-away corner to rest.
It seems he is genuinely shy and thus feels comfortable in secluded spaces. But his shy nature did not seem to have suited his previous owners. “After believing he’d found his forever family, Pez was heartbreakingly returned to the shelter simply for being ‘too shy.’ Now, he’s waiting for someone who will finally see his gentle heart for what it truly is,” the caption reads.
According to the post, Pez is a “sensitive soul” and has always been like this. Even when he was a kitten, he used to take time to open up. After returning to the shelter, the cat has not lost hope. Slowly, he is gaining confidence and will thrive if he settles in with the right family.
