A dad cat may have been done playing, but mom cat clearly had something to say about how he handled it. In a video shared by @dramacatlunatoby, Toby snaps at one of his kittens after apparently growing tired of the youngster’s attempts to play with him. Luna, who is nearby, wastes no time making her disapproval known. And judging by Toby’s reaction, her message seems to land rather quickly.

Luna and Toby are raising a litter of kittens, and one of their little ones appeared to be having a playful moment with dad. Toby, however, did not seem to share the kitten’s enthusiasm. After tolerating the interaction for a while, he apparently lost patience and snapped at the kitten.
Luna was nearby and immediately noticed what happened. The mother cat wasted no time reacting to Toby. She let out a loud meow in his direction, seemingly reprimanding him for the way he had responded to their kitten. Toby immediately turned his attention toward Luna, appearing to realize that he had attracted the wrong kind of attention.
But Luna was not done with her warning. She then delivered another meow, only this time it was even louder. The sound appeared to startle Toby, who seemed to become noticeably more cautious. From the way the exchange unfolded, it looked as though Luna had made her position very clear without needing to do much more.
Meanwhile, the caption joked about what could have happened if Toby had pushed his luck any further. “One second later, and Toby would’ve gotten smacked by his wife again,” it read. The video left nearly 20 million viewers amused by how quickly Toby seemed to change his behavior once Luna intervened.
One person wrote, “whatever she said he got it together immediately.” Another imagined what Luna might have been telling him, commenting, “mom said, ‘Try that again. I dare you.’” The comment captured the impression that Luna was not simply making noise but firmly warning Toby against bothering the kitten again.
Toby’s reaction to Luna’s second meow also caught attention. “That second ‘yeow’ had him scared for his life,” one person joked. And one summed up the entire exchange by saying, “No one can stand against mom’s voice.”
