In the video shared by @oliviarenaee, the long-haired cat has settled into this extremely unusual position while Olivia keeps working at the sewing machine. The cat climbs onto her owner and settles in while the sewing goes on. The kitty sure does look comfortable. Olivia, on the other hand, looks amused but slightly less comfortable.
Clingy cat joins her owner during a sewing session by climbing onto her head
The video has passed 1.5 million views and picked up more than 336,000 likes, so clearly a lot of people have experienced the same delayed realization: wait, is that a cat sitting on her head? In fact, one viewer admitted they initially thought the cat was a wig.
Olivia is busy at the sewing machine when the camera catches the unusual arrangement. The cat is perched across the top of her head, with her front legs dangling on either side of Olivia’s face. And she looks completely settled. Olivia keeps working with the fabric while her furry companion stays exactly where she is. At one point, the cat looks toward the camera too, as if there is nothing remotely strange about the situation.
The text jokingly asks, “Anybody’s else’s cat has attachment issues?” Viewers had a lot of fun commenting on this unique situation. One called the setup a “Cat hat,” while someone else joked that sewing must be easier with a “thinkingcat” helping out.
There were also plenty of people ready to volunteer for this kind of arrangement. One commenter said they would happily have a “velcro kitty,” while another asked where to get a hat like that. Olivia eventually pauses her work to give the cat a few scratches. She then gently lifts her down from her head, ending a very committed cuddle session.
The clingy cat clearly had no interest in leaving earlier, though. She had found a comfortable spot, her human was right there, and the sewing could apparently happen around her.
